A Chairde,
Tuairiscí
Summer reports for Bliain 1/2/IB/5 will be published on Vsware on June 21st.
Most of the reports will be as Gaeilge. Parents should consult with their son/daughter to assist with translation where necessary. Google translate has also greatly improved its translation capabilities in recent years as an extra option. The comments section is split into two sections - Láidreachtaí(Strengths) agus Bearnaí feabhais( area's for improvement) It is important that your son/daughter takes in this feedback as it is an essential part of the assessment process.
If you have an issue accessing your Vsware account please ring the school office asap and before the end of this week.
Féilire na bliana 24/25.
Please follow the link below to view the calendar for the next school year which is posted on our website:
https://gaelcholaistenamara.ie/Events
This is a live calendar which will be updated and edited as we move through the year. You can view one month at a time and all you need to do is click the next month on the top right-hand corner to move to the next. A quick view of the calendar is visible on this site on the right-hand side of the landing page.
This calendar is also visible on our school app. This can be downloaded from the Appstore- iclasscms and follow the instructions to select the correct school etc.
Please note the start dates for the various year groups at the end of August. Reminders will be sent in mid-August regarding these details.
Waytopay
Waytopay bills have been circulated to all year groups. Please note we ask for a €40 levy for each student to cover insurance/lockers/photocopying etc. We also ask for this payment to be made before the first full day of the 24/25 term which is Wednesday August 28th.
The family contribution of €150 is voluntary and should only be paid once regardless of how many children you have in the school. This contribution helps us greatly to improve the services and resources we provide in our school.
Again, any questions or queries regarding waytopay should be put to the office before this Friday the 21st of June.
Gilet
We have asked local shops in Arklow and Wicklow to provide a new black fleece gilet with the GCM logo on it as an extra uniform option. Some students feel the cold more than others and this would be a good option for them to add a layer to wear over the school jumper. This will mean students won’t be wearing coats in classrooms anymore. The shops that stock the uniform are –
Plain Pearl – Arklow
Eric Craigs- Arklow
Malones Bookshop- Wicklow Town
Oifig na Scoile
The school office will close for the Summer this Friday 21/6/24.
Beyond that date any issues can be discussed or rectified in mid-August when the school office reopens.
Tá súíl agam go mbeidh Samhradh fada agus folláin agaibh ar fad.
Le gach deá-ghuí i gconaí,
Tony Ó Murchú
